Biography

PJ is a 24 year old DJ and Producer. He was born in the island nation of Sri Lanka, in the Indian sub-continent. However, most of his early years of life were spent living in South Africa, before eventually settling in Australia in the late 80s.

PJ is also the founder and brain-child behind Infamous Light Recordings. After spending the best part of 3-4 years dj'ing and producing in his bedroom, PJ decided that 2004 was the year that he would embark on a new record label concept. Amidst the growing trend towards digital music distribution Infamous Light Recordings was born, a digital-ONLY Tech House record label, and arguably also one of the world's first. With just a few releases under its belt and despite criticism and hostility from established players in the industry as well as vinyl purists, the label continues to grow from strength to strength with a growing army of supporters.

Furthermore, after his critically-acclaimed debut international solo release on his own imprint, PJ's profile on the world stage has risen from virtual
obscurity to being regarded as one of the industry's new breed of innovators.
With many already predicting the demise of vinyl as the medium of choice for DJs, PJ's digital-ONLY approach is now being adopted by the new generation of underground stars as well as many of the industry's long-standing heavyweights. Requests for PJ's diverse journey-man styled dj sets are coming from across the globe, from radio hosts and promoters alike, and he is now proving to be one of the most respected players in the underground dance movement.
